DeWALT DWS715 Zero Clearance Dust Collection Throat Plate Gen 2

Good product but zero clearance insert split on first use.

The product arrived promptly and in great condition. The two pieces installed effortlessly and provided great fit and fitness. The zero clearance insert however, split in half the first time time i used it. I used a sacrificial piece of wood as the instructions suggested but it still split. With the insert split, one side lifts up when cutting and negates the throat plates intention of routing dust into the pick-up chute. I think the design and concept are very will thought out, but will need a new insert to verify.
