The Dobbs Carefree Wide Brim Fedora Is Indeed Carefree

The Dobbs Carefree Wide Brim Fedora lives up to its name. Its wider brim and, in this case, its stonewash blue color give a casual yet dressy vibe. The wool finish is flexible allowing the hat to be worn in three ways--brim up, completely down, or snap. (The last is the best choice. ) Yet, it is stiff enough for the brim to stay in place once snapped down. The reason for only 4 rather than 5 stars is that contrary to the description note that that the Carefree is true to size, on me, at least, its runs a bit large. The medium as a 7 1/8 fits more like a 7 1/4. Adding two sizers fixed that. Bottom line: The Dobbs Carefree Wide Brim Fedora is a top-notch hat which will likely become one of my favorites and one of yours too.
