The Swan Dress

I am very tall and broad-shouldered, which can make finding a good fit difficult. The Swan Dress in L/Tall fits comfortably without constraining movement, and the skirt hangs just below my ankles in flats. The velvety textured waist and the overall silhouette are very flattering on my not-very-curvy figure. Things to be aware of: No pockets. The fabric at the waist kind of precludes pockets, but still a mild disappointment. The 3/4 sleeves come to just past my elbow, but I have very long arms. The skirt is full enough to be cello friendly but may require a little adjustment when sitting. Rosin streaks dust off easily with just a brush or two of the hand. The fabric is heavy enough to be fairly warm, so this may not be the best dress at summer events or under very hot lights. I am not coordinated or flexible enough to zip the back all the way up without help. Fortunately, the dress goes on easily over my head, even fully zipped. I can at least unzip the dress, which makes getting out of it easier. The zipper tends to catch partway down, at the border between the two different fabrics, but it's easy enough to get out of even partially unzipped. Overall a great dress that I'll likely wear for many future performances.

I absolutely love this dress. While I should have ordered petite length instead of regular, the sleeves, and the bodice fit perfectly, and the fabric feels wonderful on my skin. I love the mesh sleeves, and as advertised, distress is wrinkle, free, easy to zip up, and extremely comfortable. I’m sure I play my violin better when I’m wearing it.😁

​This dress fits so nicely and is absolutely comfortable. I have a hard time finding dresses that fit well after having had a double mastectomy without reconstruction and this dress is the perfect fit!
