My Mother's Recipe Box

Excellent box! I love the card rest! I don't cook, but I do memorize Bible verses and the thin but long lip is just right for me to lay down a written out verse, memorize it, then turn it over to test myself. Once I Think I've "got it" I can store it in the box and pull it out for periodic review or to meditate on when going "around the mountain again" in my spiritual life. May God bless the hands that made it, and Lehman's for selling it! :-)

I have 2 wooden recipe boxes, a 3x5 and a 4x6. These were my Grandmother's and my mother's. I have two sons, 34 and 31 years old. They have each asked for recipe boxes. I have purchased several of the recipe boxes from Lehman's and they are every bit as well made as my hand-me-downs from the 1930s and 1950s.

I gave this to my wife and she loves it. She's been working on a project to get all of her recipes on cards that fit in the box. It was a great and unique gift.
