We worked through this and can give the following advice - absolutely get 4 radio removal keys for VW easily obtained from internet shops, have a small soft grip pair of pliers to aid in installing ribbon cables to PCB's, would be helpful to have operating manual to help configure and set up unit when powering on - for instance the switch to cycle between the VW operating system and the Carplay is the call answer button on the steering wheel
