Daedalus DS12 Class D 12" Powered Subwoofer

One of the reasons I went with the Aperion Novus DS12 is that I wanted a subwoofer that could deliver deep, impactful bass without sounding boomy or overwhelming. What has impressed me most is how smooth and controlled it sounds. It digs deep when a movie calls for it, but it also blends well with the rest of my speakers and never feels like it’s drawing attention to itself. On paper, the amplifier might not look as powerful as some of the larger competitors, but in practice it’s been more than enough for our roughly 20x20 semi open room. We run the DS12 in its ported configuration, and for our space it’s been the perfect balance of output, extension, and musicality. It has no trouble filling the room with clean, satisfying bass for both movies and music. Just as important, the people at Aperion have been great to work with. They’ve always been patient, knowledgeable, and down to earth whenever I’ve had questions. It’s refreshing to deal with a smaller company that genuinely stands behind its products and supports its customers long after the sale. Between the performance of the DS12 and the customer service behind it, it’s a purchase I’ve been very happy with.

I always used a smaller sealed sub because mainly listen to jazz, classical, exc. I couldn’t believe the difference. Bass was very much more extended than I thought possible. Very musical and not bloated at all. Price is unbeatable and top notch customer service. Highly recommended 🎶
