Dvardala Hunting & Forest Axe

Ho-Hum...

So I normally buy Husqvarna axes and hatchets then spend time re-profiling the edge and sanding and finishing the handles (Husqvarna - same forge, less refined, lower price). I thought I'd spring for a 'premium' hatchet because I love the size/weight/head on the Dvardala. The hatchet is beautifully balanced, but the edge is not symmetrical, and the handle was so rough I actually got a splinter from it. At least it is hung properly and the grain orientation is good. Anyway, out come the stones, sandpaper and boiled linseed oil...
