Apecat 9L Harness

After 3 days of use, I can say that I like this pack. With the weight on my hips, my shoulders were not as tired as they would have been with my previous set up. I wish the water hose was about 3 inches longer. I’m just a touch over 6’2” with a long torso.

Aspect 9L harness is awesome

I’ve recently picked up the aspect harness. Have not personally used this yet but I saw it in use in a recent DART training class by Van ( head Scout). It has the look and feel of an old army LBE harness which I wore extensively in the past. It has the water pouch low on your back and multiple pockets. Once adjusted correctly I’m quite certain this harness will work as I expect while on the bike.

Nice backpack alternative

The Apecat is a great alternative to wearing a full backpack. It carries the weight on my hips and has enough storage for the essentials. I also like the way air flows. Because my back isn't covered with a pack, the vents on my jackets work like they are supposed to. And it is even better when just wearing a jersey on a hot day. I'm not a big person and the only downside is that I have to tighten the shoulder and sternum straps pretty much all the way. The result is that the waist belt and other straps tend to flap in the wind. Definitely a great piece of gear that I wear all the time, as it carries my inReach, first aid kit, water, and jump starter.
