Maypop

Arrived on a hot afternoon, delivered upside down on top of tall vines which were bent but did not break. Packing was good, but delivered in precarious position for vining plants in spite of "This side up" marked on the side of box. I discovered and removed a small hitch-hiking Gulf Fritillary caterpillar happily chewing on leaves but both plants are in the ground now and seem to be thriving, already growing up trellises. Am keeping watch for Gulf Frit caterpillars and transferring them to Passion Vines in another part of the yard. Hoping for fruit from those two Maypop plants.

The plant arrived in great shape. Because our temps have been so hot I am keeping it in pot and light shade hoping for rain and slightly lower temps this wknd.

It hasn’t bloomed yet but optimistic it will do well
