I have straight heavy Asian hair. This kit was marketed for my hair type and after using both products, I can tell you they definitely work. The clay is the only product I’ve used so far that doesn’t make my hair look wet or oily while also holding it all day. The texture powder is awesome too, making my hair look less oily after a day out. Definitely plan to buy more when I run out.

Probably the best product I’ve tried in terms of offering all day hold and matte finish. Paired with the texture powder, you get volume that no pomade / gel / mouse / spray could get you.
Truthfully I just got a wavy perm before I received this product, so I can’t speak to it being able to help you mold your straight hair to appear to have a natural wave/curl. That said, I think I would continue using this combo because it’s so effortless to get that natural volume and no fear of your hair going flat like when you run pomade through.
Will be ordering this again to see how it does when my perm is gone.

Great for straight hair
I’m Latino I have very straight hair. This works to get a flowy brushed back look. I add a dab of oil product at end for shine.
