ANOTHER HIT FROM KNAFS!
From the moment I saw Ben's video for the Kickstarter campaign for the Lander 5, I was excited about this knife! I can now say, it does not dissapoint! Pros: -I love the size! Perfect for 5th pocket carry but its design language is that of a larger knife. -Build quality is excellent! Even though this is an "inexpensive" knife, it is in no way "cheap". Whoever is the OEM for the Lander 5 did a fantastic job! -Access to the lockbar is easy as is disengaging the framelock. -The knife came with a centered blade, no blade play, and hair cutting sharp. Cons: (Really Nitpicking Here) -Some people have complained how large the cutout for the framelock is. Let's remember though, this knife is $30 : ) -The nylon/or teflon washers do a great job, but this is not a "fidget" knife (nor was it designed to be). I have however seen some videos were people are able to finger flick the blade open. -For some people, this knife will simply be too small. I have small/medium hands and it took me about 20 seconds to figure out where I needed to place my fingers (as not to put pressure on the framelock) so that I can open it one handed. For those with larger hands, you probably will need to use two hands to open the knife. Overall though, this is an excellent knife! Whether you need an urban EDC for small cutting tasks that is office friendly, or a first knife for a scout! I would love to see Ben and the Knafs team eventually release upgraded versions of this knife (various handle materials and upgraded blade steel).
