I use this beard oil in the Apex blend, which is fantastic. Absorbs really well into the beard, provides nice “slip”, and is very softening. This is my favorite scent from Johnnie Ray. It starts off with top notes that are equal parts citrus and floral. Those notes fade rather quickly to give way to a fantastic woodsy heart note. Similar to sandalwood, but brighter and lighter. The hinoki, I presume. What’s unmistakeable is how the scent settles at the end. The oakmoss and oud linger the longest, giving this essential oil blend a depth that, in my opinion, is unmatched in Johnnie Ray’s EO lineup. It’s like a journey from bright & sweet to dark & earthy.
