Visiting Paris for the first time, I had saved up to buy one of the Louise Carmen notebooks as a birthday gift to myself. I had been looking forward to this experience for months!! The notebook itself and the brand is lovely, and it was wonderful to get to create it in person in Paris! The customer service however really depends on which staff member helps you when you enter the store. We got a staff member who couldn’t be bothered to even show us all the charms and made it seem like talking to us was a tedious chore. We had to ask to see all the charm options several times even though we could see the boxes of them behind her and the other staff members were very generous with showing all the options to the customers they were working with. Perhaps she was having a bad day and I understand we were in the store during the stressful holiday season but for the amount of money we were spending (we bought two Ernest notebooks) I was hoping she’d be a bit more welcoming at least. Basically, if you’re not from Europe and have to travel very far to get to Paris and save up for this very special experience, temper your expectations a lot because the staff can really ruin the entire vibe. When our notebooks were finished, the staff member who helped us check out was very kind and patient though! It’s hit or miss experience-wise but the product is gorgeous!

Dream Notebook and Experience!
This was such a fun experience, creating my dream notebook in the beautiful new store location. The staff was so kind and helpful, and the product is beautiful! Will be recommending to anyone I know going to Paris!
