The coffee beans appear to be over-roasted, to the point of being nearly burnt. The dominant flavor is reminiscent of burnt wood, which overwhelms any nuanced characteristics. There is a noticeable lack of coffee aroma, both in the beans and after brewing. The cup is also highly astringent, with excessive tannins that create a harsh and unpleasant mouthfeel. Overall, the roast level and flavor profile significantly detract from the quality and enjoyment of the coffee.
