Godox iT32 TTL Mini Flash with X5L Trigger Kit for Leica

I would be glad to put a five stars review. Unfortunately, when I installed the flash on my Leica Q3 hot shoe it got stuck on it. Really hard to take it off… so that the small black plate on the button of the hot shoe got out trying to remove it. Once that viable plate out of the shoe, the flash was easy to slip in. The flash itself is a five stars working product.

iT32 flash and X5L trigger

I was excited to see that this trigger and flash would work on my Leica cameras. Quick answer; The flash is brilliant in terms of simplicity and use. The X5L is another thing on my Leicas. It did not work on the M11P, the M9’s, nor the S 006 at all. What worked was my using an old Nikon cable to flash connection. This worked but only in manual mode. Still I am happy with this limitation, since I generally use manual for certain types of work. I ordered the X5N trigger and I no longer require the cable. To repeat, this combination is absolutely marvellous. I can now carry always the flash since the size and weight is so small. I will order another for my S 006 bag for the same reason. Godax must solve the Leica flash issue. It was the connector, pin arrangement that limited the TTL option.

Great little flash compatible with the Leica Q3

This flash has a lot going for it. Affordable, compact, rechargeable, ability to work off camera, and more importantly for me, it’s fully TTL compatible with the Q3. Also I would like to point out that the service from Stropepro was great. Shipment was super fast and the flash was well packed.
