Surface is ok, feels like an Artisan Hayate Otsu clone, but the base feels incredibly cheap. It’s also been weeks since I received this pad, and it still does not lay completely flat on my desk. My mouse will scrape on the raised areas, which makes it borderline unusable. I would not recommend this pad, and would strongly suggest you pick a pad that ships flat packed, or if it does ship rolled, make sure it has a standard rubber base, not poron or the neoprene that this pad has.
