There are several ways to use this strap. One is tighten it around the seatbelt buckle. Another is around the seatbelt and on our Expedition has a loop on the seatbelt where it can be attached. Great very simple but versatile strap.

Front Seat Passenger
My Berne doodle enjoys watching the roadway with me as we drive together. I am delighted with this purchase. It had never occurred to me that riding in the cargo section of the car would be unsafe. Now my dog rides securely clipped to the seatbelt next to me.
