[NEW] HEAT Thermal + VIPER Night Vision Goggles Bridgeable Monoculars

The heat thermal and viper nv are a great introduction into being able to navigate and evaluate in low-light /dark conditions. The thermal is impressive for a small mobile and mountable unit. You are able to detect heat signatures and at closer distances it is great. The clarity at distance falls off as would be expected. The viper nv is good and requires luminator in very low/dark conditions. The refresh is slow limiting faster movement. I have no experience with analog nv so this may be normal. Units come with integrated batteries and accept supplemental onboard batteries. The supplemental batteries are not provided. The charging port on nv is on the top of unit and the rubber cap is not retained, so don’t lose it. The bridge unit I believe is a weaker link in the mounting system. The mount to the bridge is by two small screws with no integrated locking means between the two. I strengthened the connection by applying blue locktite to the screws and installed a third small bolt and nut to the existing hole through the the mount and bridge. Mount now seems strong. I upgraded to the aluminum mount. Good choice. I did not try the included head strap system. All and all I am please with this gear. It provides a means to investigate/evaluate the night without turning on lights.
