Assam Leaf Tea

In the good old days before tea bags, tea was always made properly in the tea pot. I have just discovered Tea Direct and purchased proper tea leaves. Assam and Darjeeling. Which are both great to drink with either milk or lemon. Also made properly in a tea pot. So well done Tea Direct for putting me back into making delicious tea again.

We use a blend of one part Assam to two of Darjeeling. The Assam is a beautiful, strong tea with large leaves and is mellowed with the Darjeeling mix. I buy 1 kg bags - excellent value, we probably get through 2 bags a year of each type. I'm afraid tea bag tea is just not tea after drinking Tea Direct leaf tea.
