Mr. Dougherty, I really don't have words to describe how much I LOVE this book! As a child I grew up in NYC and riding the bus and subway were the highlight for my Brother and I. We grew up in Harlem, a short distance from the bus garage at 146 St and the Lenox subway yard that ended at 7 Ave (aka Powell Blvd). As a kid I bought NYC street maps and drew my own subway and EL lines on the grid. Back then, I had no access to the things you've shown thru these books. I cannot thank you enough or adequately for the joy receiving this book gives me. Thank you for sharing your labor of love with us subway fans out here. I live in North Carolina now, but still enjoy SUBCHAT, nyc subway resources and the other forms detailing anything related to the NYC transit system. I am eternally grateful for your efforts and others for brining this book to life. Sincerely, Julius

I just want to say that I think this is one of the most outstanding publications of any kind available and we all owe the author our thanks for making this book possible. I have owned a previous edition (2021) but decided it was time to "upgrade" and went ahead and purchased the 2025 version because the since-added content is so incredibly interesting. I am amazed by the thought and details that have gone into making "Tracks" such an invaluable text to own- for everyone from railfans to historians to the casual reader who wants to learn more about New York City. While the paper it is printed-on is not as smooth to the touch as it was in the previous edition, the author/publisher has informed us readers that in spite of ongoing post-pandemic paper shortages and the current international tariff-challenged environment- and with the ever-growing number of pages as content is added- he was still able to successfully produce a printed version at reasonable selling-cost. My favorites this year are the addition of the LIRR track maps within Brooklyn and Queens. Hopefully successive editions will continue to follow, with even more added content. Could a regional rail book be in the works one day? Thanks for such an amazing production! 73 de WY1R
