I have just recently stumbled upon Hapstone and Venice stones too for that matter. I don’t use any type of guided sharpener I learned and liked to free hand. I enjoyed this stone so much I bought every grit Venev makes a week later. And hapstone the website/ company has been really great to work with. Made the whole process easy. Also I get an Eastern European vibe on location and regardless of where they’re located my order was shipped and delivered mad fast. In the future I will only be ordering my sharpening products from Hapstone.
