Ratio Eight Series 2 Dripper & Catcher Set

I rwalize it is just a dripper and a catcher set but no instructions how to use were included. Been using Ratio Eight for years, the original carafe started leaking, so i bought Series 2 - which website says is compatible with Eight. Now bought this dripper / catcher set, but first time use resulted in overflow and mess. Videos show different combinations of equipment than mine.
