I bought the HilloCo Maxx36 radial frame extractor between honey crops in late June. I'm glad it's now part of my inventory. The Maxx36 was well conceived by taking into consideration things like: running 9-frame supers (4 honey boxes = 36), manual and automatic modes so speed is at your fingertips, a large threaded non-drip honey gate, a sloping tank floor that left very little honey behind, an extra long electrical plug, and quiet operation. And I mean quiet! The motor and gearbox are mounted underneath to help with wobble and they provide plenty of power. Plus, it came with a fantastic warranty. All that at a terrific price. CAUTION! If you buy this extractor be sure to check the inside of the 2” drain pipes. Mine had cutting oil and metal shavings inside which would have gone straight into the honey. Don’t check it with your finger as it has rough edges which will cut your finger. It is imperative to clean it out. Also the frame holder inside had a black greasy residue all over it which must be cleaned off. The extractor worked great although I wish it had come with instructions for the controller as you just have to figure it out for yourself. I still don’t fully understand what all it will do. The automatic mode is 12 1/2 minutes and I recommend putting it on manual after that for five minutes at full speed. There should be a way to change the automatic settings but again there are no instructions. If you don’t balance it properly it will shake violently due to its size. If the spring feet they sell are as great as they say they should just up the price of the machine $100 and include them. I would buy it again, but I would want it cleaned before delivery, include instructions, and spring feet.

The new maxx36 honey extractor is everything i wanted and much, much more...very impressed...hillco products are top notch!
