Not the knife for me, sadly.
Quality seems nice but this is not an EDC knife by any means. I bought this over the other UCO knives as I was intrigued by the locking button. After spending a couple days with it, I'm not really sure what the function is. It doesn't lock the knife closed (childproof), only when the blade is open. I suppose it's easier to unlock and close the blade for some people than a liner lock? Opening the blade isn't much easier. The scales aren't recessed enough to expose the groove and only the corner of my thumbnail can find it. I've been spoiled by Spyderco's massive thumb hole and flippers up to this point. Maybe difficulty in opening is another safety feature?
The scales are slippery and the "topo" pattern is not embossed deep enough to provide much grip.
There's also no belt clip, and instead a large hole for a lanyard. So I guess I'll throw some paracord or a biner in there and make this my backpacking knife.

Love the locking feature, it makes it super safe to use! The Ingalls Switch-Lok is a solid, sharp knife that’s perfect for camp tasks, but what really sets it apart is the locking mechanism. It clicks in securely and gives me total confidence when using it. Safe, sturdy, and reliable—exactly what I want in a folding knife.
