Geopress purifier 24 oz.
Finally had the funds & a Discount to try this out. . . The Sawyer Squeeze Filter & CNOC 2L/3L are my go to, for Price & water sustainability, where you need several Litres of water per Hour. . . So for day to day use, the Grayl System, is a good option, but can't replace the time a Sawyer saves!!! Get the Price of the Filter down to $10 & it would be more feasible!!!

The Holy Grayl of water purifiers
I have bought Life Straw, I've bought Platapus, I have a whole house filter at my house, I know the importance and the different uses of water purification systems. Here's the thing. . . if you need a camp kitchen with water for washing hands or dishes, Platapus is the way to go. It filters gallons of water and you can hang it from a tree, etc. If you need water at your house, you need a filtration system that matches the needs of your whole house. I have a sediment filter, a salinator and Ph tank, I have a UV light all before entering my house. Obviously, I'm on a well. But, if I'm going on a hike and I'm on the move, I can't take my well house with me. I can't carry 2 gallons of water in a Platapus. The set up takes time and space. When I need ease of use, space saver, and the ability to access clean water while on the move, Grayle is my Holy Grail. I went on a hike with a bunch of teenagers and brought my Grayle. They all brought water. Halfway through the hike they all ran out of water. It was a much hotter day than typical for the area. I was the only person with a filter. I was able to quickly fill all 20 water bottles of the group in a mater of minutes. Long enough for everyone to take a quick break and get back on the trail. It was my first time out with a Grayle. I had used Life Straw before and it used too much physical suction energy when I'm tired and I hated having to put it in an open water bottle to use it. Or drink straight from the water source with the straw laying on the ground. . . no thank you. Grayle solved all of that. Dip the canister into the water. Open the lid of you water bottle insert. Press down and in 8-11 seconds. . . voila! Instant water. I just dumped my water bottle into every other hikers bottle and then filled mine and away we went. Everyone was so happy. Fast forward, I loved my experience so much, I bought two more bottles for my family and 6 extra filters for when we've used up the ones they come with. Are they expensive? Yeah. But are they worth it? You bet your sweet bippy they are. I'll never go on a multi-mile hike without one. I take it camping. When I travel and want to make sure that I'm drinking clean water in a foreign country, or quite frankly public drinking fountain water. I put it in my bug-out bag when not in use. I am a huge fan! Now, how to get free swag/gear from Grayle? Well one can only hope.
