A strong black tea. I would call it neutral in flavor I like it as a wake-me-up tea. It would be a good base for masala chai.

First note that the water in my region is very hard, meaning it carries a lot of calcium and magnesium carbonate and those minerals definitely affect the taste of tea. But, given that, this is a full bodied tea, small ground leaf, with a surprising lack of bitterness. I often find the breakfast teas (English, Scottish, Irish) too bitter but I like a full bodied tea. I have no idea how this would taste in a soft water environment (usually found where the geology includes more granites and schists).
I found the tea quite fine.
