Birch Soap

Pretty and sweet smelling :)

I purchased the Birch Soap to set out in the bathroom when hosting Thanksgiving dinner last week. The colors were perfect for fall and the soap has a very pretty pattern. I'm still using it now a week after that dinner, and I turned it onto the thin side vs. lying flat so that it lasts longer. My only concern is that I'm not sure how the coconut oil or cocoa butter is sourced, i.e., fair trade/organic. Maybe that's indicated somewhere on the site, but it would be helpful to find that information on the label itself (unless I missed it. I didn't look very closely at the label and removed it quickly to use the soap.) I'd also come across an article about monkeys being exploited to pick coconuts in Asia, where most of the world's coconut products are obtained, but it seems that that information was slanted and didn't offer the complete story, while an NPR article gave more info about that, which eased my mind about that concern.
