wittPlate Trim Router Base

Project turned out great. The kit has really high quality parts. I had extra HDPE leftover from AC window unit custom interface I built for the fence face. Nice and slippery. This is so much better than the little Rockler one I had before I built this one. Would 100% recommend others to buy this. Tip - make the holes for the fence to base a bit larger as they are very sensitive to being exactly in the right place and my rails were slightly askew from each other too. Still locks down great and now it slides easily back and forth.

I like the larger Footprint of the base, however the opening is smaller than the OEM base and I’m unable to use it with the chamfering bit I have. Make the opening the same size as the OEM base and it’s a home run.

Great base. Makes controlling my trim router much easier, especially on narrow pieces. Dust collection attachment is also good. Doesn’t get everything but light years ahead of anything else out there.
