Does not absorb fasts enough

Although the size is exactly what I am looking for as it has great coverage in length both to the front and the back, it does not work well for large gushes during heavy days nor does it absorb anything but liquid so if there is any light mucus or a small clot it just sits on the top of the pad and makes a mess when removed. Mostly I was very disappointed with the side leakage. My period spilled over both sides with a gush and left me with an extra load of laundry to do plus having to wash my chair as well. Not impressed. I thought perhaps it was just that it needed to be washed and broken in a few times, but that was not the issue. My period continued to run off the fabric onto my pants a second and third time. For the price I definitely will not be buying this pad again. For lighter days, I may consider a smaller pad (the "thong" liner did a better job, but for a MUCH lighter spotting and not actual bleeding)
