Roll-Up Chess Board From the Chess House

The new roll-up chess board arrived safely at my house and it really is just what I ordered. It is just the right size for several of the chess sets used by the kids and adults at the library chess club where I teach chess. I love the fact that the Chess House has many color choices for the dark squares of the roll-up boards they sell. Forty to fifty years ago there were only two or three choices for dark-square color. However, back then they had more choices for the size of the squares of the board whether it was a roll-up vinyl or wooden. Unfortunately, now, at least in the U.S., boards that have 2" squares have pretty much disappeared. That's the size I need most for our chess sets. Tournament size of 2 1/4" is just too big and 1 3/4" or 1 7/8"(which is what I received from you) is too small.

* I thoroughly enjoyed watching the DVD movie titled.., "Knights of the South Bronx". I enjoyed the chess movie so much.., I have already watched it three (3) times.. * I encourage ALL chess players' to watch this terrific chess movie and help school students to learn to play chess, and go on to play in tournaments'.. Excellent movie.., worth watching ! ! 'Ted Danson'.., (from the TV show Cheers) said in an interview.., that this movie, was one of his best work as an actor and playing chess.. He still plays chess today ! Great movie.. Mike in Montana :)
