In my first game, I played myself, I won and lost! But it was a great game! I bought this for a trip I am taking with my adult son, and this is easy to carry, pieces don’t fall out, and it’s easy to play the pieces. Thanks,

Almost perfect but noisy
I really like the design and idea behind this chess board. I can see how someone may have an issue with the pieces design but it’s really not a problem for me. The main issue for me was the loud clap noise between pieces and the board due to the strong magnets. This is a problem when in a plane, at the library, or at any quiet place. I tried adding felt pads but the pieces slowly slide when stored vertically. I ended up using thin rubber pads so now the noise is gone and the pieces don’t move when stored vertically. The pads also protect the board paint from scratches. Taking one star off as for the price point I should not need to fix this issue myself. Otherwise I like the product.
