Relax more
Love the feel and stretch of the denim. The pockets are deep and strong. Six belt loops are great, The relaxed fit could be just a hint more relaxed, but what's more concerning to me is the tight taper from knee to ankle. Maybe I need a relaxed boot cut? Also my wife wants them in a medium wash if I plan to wear them out after work.

Great jeans!
The heritage jeans are a perfect fit and feel for me. This is my second purchase of these ad a replacement for a pair that I got at the initial release.

So far so good...
I had bought the exact same size in both "straight" and "relaxed" fit versions, I had to return the "relaxed" fit version because they had too much room for me, way too big. For me the "straight" fit is very similar to a "relaxed" version of a foreign made jean like a Lee or Levi's. I don't know why they even make the "relaxed" fit, maybe for really big guys with huge thighs, I'm thinking guys that like to leg press 300 lbs. or more on a regular basis. I'm a cyclist so my thighs are pretty meaty as is and I still found the "straight" fit sufficient. Only complaint I have if you want to call it that is when you wash and dry the jeans you have to flip the front pockets inside out so they can dry properly in the dryer since the pockets are made with denim they hold a lot of water. And maybe the other nit pick is that the corner of where the pockets are sewn you get a bunch of these little threads that start to unravel and you have to constantly clip them off. Other than that I have put these jeans through the paces and have not ripped yet. One advantage is they are warm in the winter, if you do a lot of work outside, if you live in the northeast or midwest, they keep you warm by blocking the cold wind from rushing in and chilling your legs. When you buy them they do come really dark blue almost like a navy but that's extra dye they use so as you wash them they don't fade that much and keep their color so after several washes they will turn to a regular blue jean color. Hope this helps!
