Mmm a Bit underwhelming

First off GET the ice pack for your order, when mine had arrived it was melted to the sides of the containers, which sucks, but that happens. Along with the fact that the sealing of the containers are not very sealing at all, it just sits on the cap of the containers like it already had been opened. In terms of the licorice, very good and tastes just like the product is described, along with the licorice itself being phenomenal. Would I buy again, probably not but it was a good first buy.

Now I know …

… that I don’t like whatever salty hellspawn version of licorice this is. But, for some reason, I keep wanting another one. This is one of those kombucha situations where the first time you drink it you think you must have drank something expired only to find out it’s supposed to taste like that. It’s terrible, but you keep drinking it and now you are addicted. See, now I want another piece. I must like the taste bud abuse.

(no, seriously--*wait* for it). this one's just an ornery, nutty nut. it's mean until you get to know it better. it starts off bitter and salty.. then suddenly melts into a creamy, sweet chocolate center that is quickly punctuated by a crunchy, sugary crusted almond. yum. it's a life lesson, like all of Haupt's offerings--"don't judge a book by its salt," or "the good things come to those who salt," or "if you can't take the salt..." or "salt me once.." something like that.
