Emporia Pro Level 2 EV Charger

Level 1 to 2

I was using a level 1 to charge my plug in hybred and it too 12 hours from empty to full. The level 2 takes 2.5 hours. It allows my local travels to be electric and I only use gas on longer trips.

Works as it should, easy install but no manual control

Our state offers a substantial rebate on this charger which influenced the purchase decision. It functions as intended, feels sturdy and has a long enough cable. However to start stop pause charging is only available through the app. My partner who chose to go the EV route is not the most technologically friendly person so adding another layer of steps, when occasionally having to unlock / pause the charger manually is somewhat cumbersome.

Love this charger

Very easy to use and monitor. My electrician was very impressed with the ease of installation and safety features, which makes me happy as well. Highly recommended
