Oh my god, I cannot believe how wonderful this is! The second it hits my skin there’s an explosion of fragrance that calms down to a smoldering sweet aloeswood but with something I can’t quite put my finger on. It reminds me of a Japanese tea sweet I had one time that incorporated actual incense powder into the red bean and mochi. There’s something about this fragrance that makes it seem almost edible. There are lots of types of oud, each with its own profile, and this is definitely reminiscent of the more Japanese versions I’ve experienced in Koh-do, the incense ceremony. It’s just delicious.
