Laid to Rest ~ Perfume Mist (Rose & Incense)

velvety incense with an almost too-fresh jamminess from the rose that makes me think of a museum or a history exhibit! a sort of textured dustiness that's juxtaposed with an edge of modernity from the florals. i wouldn't call this a clean scent, but i don't get an overwhelming sense of aged or weathered from this! not quite a cemetery, not quite decaying, but i imagine a polished funeral parlour. a vintage home with a great hall showcasing artifacts, artworks, and heirlooms, incense billowing off of an altar. reminds me of lush's 'rose jam' if it were to be found at an antique store with a layer of dust over it; its exactly like what you would smell in an occult store. dark? yes! vampiric? if it was a chic and contemporary vampire, then yes! excellent longevity. i love this!

This is probably my all-time favorite scent. It’s so hauntingly beautiful.
