Takes a while with old, knife drawer, knives but impressively sharp after that Iinitial effort. Certainly easier to keep them sharp now. The good knives in the knife block I had always considered sharp enough ... WOW! A coarser disk included might be a useful addition for folks like me who have left their knives blunt for too long. Big hint though. Tell your wife you've sharpened her knives rather than let her find out the hard way.
