Satisfied, but the colour is misleading

The tower goes together easily, and my grandson enjoys being in it. However, my daughter and I both assumed that the walnut colour would be a wood stain on the solid timber and veneers; instead it is a painted finish that doesn't go so well with the rest of her furniture.
