Feedback from a fellow engineer
The concept of the book is great, however there are some areas recommended to correct for better usability with a toddler (assuming this is the core target audience), any older than this may involve them learning these concepts outside of this book.
1. Forces are alittle too much for a toddler in almost each page. Lower these forces a bit.
2. The screw page should allow the door to open an all the way to parallel with page. Current limitations could allow page to break where door attaches at bottom.
3. The pulley breaks off is pulled at an angle away from rotating axis (toddlers do not understand how to properly pull against a pulley so design should account for this.)

Wonderful introduction to physics
My infant grandchildren will surely love this book - in a couple of years! Meanwhile, I have enjoyed playing with it myself. It's a great way to give inquisitive little minds and hands an introduction to how stuff works.

Great for curious minds
Young minds will love working the simple machines in this book! I bought it for my 8 month old niece but my 8 and 10 year old keep trying to get their hands on it! The book and mechanisms are great quality and very sturdy. I hope Hacky comes out with more!
