Out of the box, the ink flows exceptionally well. Haven’t had any issues with ink drying up, even after storage. First fountain pen ive owned that’s performed this well, even compared to my Mont Blanc. BTW, my Mont Blanc was damaged by me dropping it on a marble floor. All the parts were fine except the top of the body cracked. I tried to have it repaired or replaced which i have done before, but now you have to send them a repair jeweler in TX and i was quoted $450 to repair it, basically whst it cost me to begin with, so I decided to give this Modern Fuel pen a shot for $99. Glad i made that decision!
