I recently purchased the Northcutt jacket. The material and design are excellent — much lighter than I expected, but in a good way. According to the sizing chart, I measured into an XL, which is also my usual size for a jacket. However, when I tried it on, the shoulders were too wide, the sleeves were long and baggy, and the upper arms had a lot of extra room. The torso fit well, but overall the jacket ran larger than expected. Based on my experience, I’d recommend sizing down one size from your normal fit. Initially, I rated it 3 stars because of the sizing and the accuracy of the chart. Update: The customer service during my exchange was outstanding — quick, helpful, and hassle‑free. That alone made the experience worth it, and I look forward to updating my review once the new size arrives. Final Update: I exchanged the XL for a Large, and the process couldn’t have been easier. The torso fits great. The sleeves are still a little long and the upper arms a bit loose, but overall the jacket will work very well for me. The material is excellent, and I’m very happy with the purchase. I’m updating my rating to 4 stars — not an absolute perfect fit, but definitely a keeper, and the customer service was exceptional.

Jacket is a lot lighter than i expected. I was hoping for more of a mid-weight jacket. This jacket will work well in the early season with warm weather.
