Unroasted Green Beans – Vietnam (1 lbs)

This was an interesting coffee for sure. I will be honest and say I am not a fan. I am a fan of acidity and body but there is a place for each depending on the varietal, processing and roast level. I wanted to try this to see if it was a viable alternative. The roast was rather uneven which could contribute to the profile however it was more tobacco-like than anything. I did get some dark chocolate but no sweetness. I roasted to a city+ which is generally a good level to get what the coffee is all about it I have never had it before. I may try a full city. Some people might really like this if they like a lot of body or use cream and sugar. I drink mine black to get the origin notes. There is a coffee for every house as they say. I found it a step better than most robustas and lower grade arabicas however.

I usually use Arabica beans which have a sweeter taste, but these were good just different. But I will buy these again. Thanks
