Decent Lock
This is a decent lock that functions as described. After living with it for a few weeks I’ve noticed that the Auto Unlock doesn’t really work. The main purpose for me was to eliminate carrying my keys. The auto unlock works if you take your phone out, unlock it, and wait for it to recognize that you’re on the same network. Takes for forever so I just manually unlock from my phone. I wish this feature was more reliable so I could walk up to my door and it would unlock. The two other downsides is that it’s not native to thread so I had to purchase the hub as well to get it into my Apple home. I’m so tired of buying bridges and hubs. Things just need to be natively matter compatible. I don’t want a hub/bridge for every new smart device. Lastly setup was easy but calibrating it was a nightmare. The lock would just spin and spin and spin every time I tried to calibrate.

Flawed Compatibility Sizing Guides & Disappointing Customer Service
Do not trust the compatibility checklists on their website. Before purchasing the SwitchBot Lock Ultra, I spent days meticulously reviewing their official installation graphics. My deadbolt and door setup met 100% of their published requirements, yet the lock was completely incompatible upon arrival.
When I reached out to customer support, they reviewed my video and confirmed the lock would not work with my door. However, their account specialist refused to provide a prepaid return label, telling me I should have called support before purchasing to verify compatibility instead of trusting the documentation on their own website.
It is entirely unfair to financially penalize customers for return shipping costs when your own marketing and technical specifications are inaccurate. Buyer beware.
