I had to plastic weld my kayak & it did and amazing job. Sealed it completely.

Probably a good unit for LDPE and other low melting materials. But it doesn’t have enough heat to melt both the base material and rod to get a good weld with HDPE (which is the material supplied with the kit). The stainless patching material was great.
