Good concept but needs refinement

The noise isolation with the earbuds and the headset on is very good. The earbuds have pretty good audio quality but the speakers in the headset part are not very good. They have a very dull sound with no high end. My other compalint is that the cords from the headset to the earbuds are too short so you can't rest the headset around your neck and put the earbuds in without them constantly trying to pull out of your ears. They need to be about twice as long. This is really necessary when wearing a hard hat. Also, as best as I can tell, there is no adjustment to the headband. Fortunately it fits me but if you had a larger head it would definitely be a problem.

Good, would purchase again but some things could be improved

Pros: Sound is the best I've found in rated hearing protection - not a Bose headset but better than air pods/pixel buds. Relatively comfortable for all day use. Double muffing offers great protection around aircraft. Sound volume is great combined with passive noise protection. Buttons are easy to use and provide tactile feedback even with gloves on. Cons: Using the ear buds only is difficult because the attached wires pull them out of my ears. I've found I can do it while wearing a hat and putting the ear cups around the top of my head, but that's less comfortable than having them around my neck - even then it is still a bit finicky.

Absolutely thankful for elgin
