FINALLY! SHE WROTE A BOOK!
I've been waiting for Amire to finally write a book, and it superseded my expectations. She's been a reviewer I've followed and admired for the past 6 years. I've always wondered if she was going to start writing herself because, I mean, she knows her stuff! Alhamdulillah, I'm so happy she decided to write this because Amar's Fajr Reward turned out to be great! This is a story that is not widely covered, and only after reading it, did I feel the need for it. It inspires children to attend the masjid, and to attend it for fajr, nonetheless. One of the most difficult prayers to attend outside of the comfort of your own home. I love how Amire incorporated her culture into it, one that isn't commonly talked or written about in our niche industry of muslim kidlit. The story was very endearing and moving mashallah. It made me yearn to be in a small neighborhood where everyone knew everyone and, most importantly, where the masjid was within walking distance. I love the relationship between the boy and his grandfather and the values he was instilled with. All in all, a beautifully written story that brings about a feeling of nostalgia and love and attachment to the masjid.
