A likeable heroine deals with magical probems in the Whisperwoods, as they spread malicious gossip instead of comforting advice. The supporting cast of characters are well drawn and the plot has some interesting twists. An enjoyable story. I look forward to the third book in this trilgy

Another wonderful, magical tale from Tilly Wallace

Book 2 in the Leaf and Scale series continues with Fern trying to deny her attraction to Lord Drakeman who is denying his own attraction to Fern. This alternative regency England is a magical place with witches, alchemists, magical plants and two sweet young dragons. Fern discovers that someone has put an evil curse on the local ancient forest. Fern needs the help of Lord Drakeman to save the forest and her friends who have been sickened from the curse as well. Intrigue, romance and magic. I love entering the world of the imagination of Tilly Wallace. I hope she continues to write more books in this delightful setting.
