Our first time buying e-bikes. The speed is great . No wobbles. We live in the kootenays, lots of up and downs at high grades. No problem, no complainants. Great bikes , and got them new customers as well.

Very bad wobble!

First of all, I am a big fan of Voltbike. However, the Yukon V2 step-through has a major fault. It has a very strong front end wobble at high speed or on uneven pavement, especially with any load on the front rack. It actually can feel quite unsafe. In fact, a friend just told me about an older man who just bought this bike but is afraid to ride it because of the wobble. I reached out to Voltbike about this issue and they told me wobble was normal on a step through and that V2 was worse than V1! If your second version is worse than the first, that seems like a design flaw to me. I have a friend with an Elegant step through that has no issue with wobble, so this is not a universal issue. Voltbike offered me the opportunity to switch to a Yukon V1 frame IF I brought my bike into their shop. However, I don’t live in Vancouver, so that would mean an overnight trip and a cost of several hundred dollars - not feasible for me! The bottom line is do not buy this model unless you don’t care that you feel you could lose control at any moment (I am uncomfortable taking a hand off the handlebars to signal a turn). I used to love riding my Voltbike, not so much any more.

Shipping Problem

I ordered two e-bikes at the end of March 2026. One of the bikes was back ordered and was supposed to ship at the end of April. I called voltbike at the first of May about my order and they told me the bikes were in stock and would ship within a few hours. They shipped on May 8th ….it is May 20th and I still haven’t received them.
