This ramp is great. I've used the older style ramp and the attached traction ladder was key for getting bikes up. I was worried how this ramp would do without one.I found that It's not needed and easier then the old style as the ski glides up almost effortlessly. You do need a small amount of momentum to load up, a fast walking speed from 10ft away is perfect. Unloading is easy too, much easier than the older design because the ski slides off the ramp completely so you don'thavecce to lift it off.
