Works well. I was concerned about if I could get enough charge at 24amps overnight for distances I drive, but do far so good.

The NEMA 14-30 Smart Splitter has truly made home EV charging easy and affordable for me. I decided to try it because it’s one of the cheapest Level 2 solutions out there—and it really lives up to the promise. Setup was a breeze; I just plugged it in, and it immediately felt like a practical upgrade to my garage. At first, I ran into a hiccup with my Rivian’s charging stopping unexpectedly, and I was worried I’d made the wrong choice. But after registering the device and running a software update, that issue went away, and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. I appreciate how the splitter automatically switches between my dryer and the EV charger, so I never have to think about which one is running—just plug both in and let it do its job. Being able to affordably add Level 2 charging, without hiring an electrician or rewiring anything, was a huge relief for my family. This product easily keeps up with my Rivian’s charging needs, and I genuinely enjoy how simple and reliable it is. If anyone’s looking for a budget-friendly way to charge an EV at home, I’d happily recommend the NEMA 14-30 Smart Splitter from my own experience.

I had an overall very good experience working with NeoCharge on the purchase and installation of the SmartSplitter. After the purchase, NeoCharge sent me information about best practices for installation and also I was able to talk to customer service about a few questions I had on the installation. I used an electrician to install a commercial grade receptacle and also to run a small length of conduit from the dryer outlet to my garage location. After installation, everything works well and this saved my about $2000 over getting a dedicated circuit for a level 2 charger.
